Vice Chairman Yu Ping participated into the Uruguay Trade and Investment Opportunity Seminar with visiting Uruguay Vice President Danillo Astori and about 250 representatives from both Chinese and Uruguayan Business Communities on Aug. 27, 2010.

In the welcome remarks, Vice Chairman Yu Ping expressed that CCPIT would like to work with counter-part organizations and other parties from Uruguay to further promote the bilateral business cooperation between China and Uruguay. He also encouraged more capable Chinese companies to search for investment and cooperation opportunities in Uruguay, and welcome more Uruguayan entrepreneurs to visit China to introduce Uruguayan products into China.

Vice President Danillo Astori described in details the superior geological and political environment, strong economy, well developed infrastructure and incentives for foreign investment of Uruguay. He also answered questions concerning the processing of bilateral financing cooperation, new-energy industry projects in Uruguay, Uruguay bidding policy and the possibility of establishing direct flight etc.
